Rosalba Neri News # 12 - Music For A Cold Winters Night...

Beat Records has recently released on CD the soundtrack to one of the last Gothics from the golden age of Italian horror (and Rosalba's last horror role) - Vasco Vassil Kojucharov's wonderfully atmospheric soundtrack to 1973's IL PLENILUNIO DELLE VERGINI (THE DEVIL'S WEDDING NIGHT). The Bulgarian born Kojucharov's soundtrack includes some orchestral and choral based moments along with a creepy organ and even goes into a groovy beat at a couple of points. And along with the presence of Rosalba, photography by Joe D'Amato and some excellent set design all add up to a classic slice of 70's Euro horror.
Also recently released by Beat is Ennio Morricone’s beautiful score to UNA LUCERTOLA CON LA PELLE DI DONNA (A LIZARD IN A WOMEN'S SKIN) from 1971. Long OOP on CD (the old Intermezzo Media CD was one of my prized possessions), this has been expanded to two CD's and both these releases feature Beat's usual beautiful packaging (and both are limited to 500 copies). And it's a good excuse to post some pictures.
